The Man and the Music
Music is the ultimate expression. It is able to describe experiences in a special way that connects with people on a completely different level. In his own words, “I think music saved my life, kept me grounded and helped to shape my awareness “. The islands offer the best and the worst. Music supports nurturing and the ability to navigate through the storms.

Authentic Reggae Music with Messages
Music has never been just entertainment for DaRootsMan. It has been a way to communicate and express feelings that could not be explained any other way.
DaRootsMan’s musical journey began at the age of seven, playing the rhythm guitar along side his brother. Music has always been a language and a medium to communicate.

DaRootsMan on a Mission
For DaRootsMan, Music has truly been a medium to question the lies that we were taught.
It was a way to celebrate our culture, our heritage and the stories that shape us in the Caribbean. His music reminds us that even when life gets complicated, there is always a song to find some strength and solace.
How Versatile is DaRootsMan?
Regardless of the variety of music DaRootsMan grew up surrounded by, reggae music has always been the one closest to his heart. The riddims, the energy and the rhyme patterns of artists like Buju Banton, Terror Fabulous, Spragga Benz and Sizzla inspired him to write even more.
The Sound and the Influence
Listening to messages of African liberation from Peter Tosh, Joseph “Culture” Hill, Dennis Brown and Bob Marley, inspired him to always create music that has meaning.
Today, he brings those roots vibrations into a sound that is unmistakably his own.
